SWING Design Gallery presents the new STRATA collection by Lucia Massari at the third edition of The Venice Glass Week. STRATA is a collection of glass plates made with the glass fusing technique. The designer Lucia Massari uses a traditional material and production process, but reinterprets it in an experimental way. STRATA appears as an abstract painting with intense colors; form and color come together in a sort of collage with a strong graphic and material impact. The vitreous matter, constructed with a formal rhythm and chromatic harmonies, is transformed into unexpected geometric textures once it comes into contact with the high temperatures of the fusion process. The collection of unique pieces has been designed and produced exclusively for SWING Design Gallery with the precious collaboration of Venetian artisan craftsmen.
