SWING DESIGN GALLERY

Angela da Silva, art and design collector, interior designer and talent scout, founded SWING Design Gallery in 2011, a gallery dedicated to contemporary collectible design.
The gallery promotes, commissions and produces the work of young international designers, exploring the boundaries between technology and craftsmanship, art and architecture, contamination and experimentation, with a fascination for narrative and conceptual languages. With the aim of experimenting with new forms of contemporary aesthetics and investigating traditional production methods, the gallery commissions unique and limited edition design pieces. In 2019 Edizioni SWING was born, a brand of the gallery that produces limited and numbered edition design works, in the sectors of furniture, textiles, ceramics, sculpture and glass. Since 2011, the gallery has organized and produced exhibitions for some of the most talented designers in the collectible design scene: Sara Ricciardi, Lucia Massari, Ilaria Bianchi, Garance Vallee, Studio Furthermore, Julian F. Bond, Harry Thaler, Alissa Volchkova, Ahryun Lee, Jungin Lee, Riccardo Cenedella, Giovanni Botticelli, Massimiliano Pipolo, Natalia Triantafylli, etc.
In 2023, SWING Design Gallery curated the first edition of the STREGA Design Collection project for STREGA ALBERTI, a collection of numbered glasses designed by designer Lucia Massari in collaboration with the historic Fornace Mian in Murano, Venice.
The works produced by SWING Design Gallery have also been exhibited at: DOPPIA FIRMA, Fondazione Cologni, Milan; VENICE DESIGN BIENNIAL, Archaeological Museum, Venice; MILANO DESIGN WEEK, 5 Vie, Milan; CIRCOLO DEL DESIGN, Turin; NGV, National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne; MIART, Milan; OPERAE, Turin; CASA BRERA HOTEL, Milan; THE VENICE GLASS WEEK, Palazzo Franchetti, Venice; PALAZZO BOVARA, Milan (The Art of Light, curated by Elle Decor); CAVALLI E NASTRI, Milano; BIFFI, Milano.
